GOING DOWNHILL.... This place used to be one of the best on Maui with the old owners. However in August 2013, they retired and sold the business to someone new. I have dealt with the new owner once and based upon this will never go back or recommend this kennel.\r

Recently I had to go into emergency at the hospital and had to stay in for a few days. I emailed and talked with Chris at Ohana and asked how busy they were and if my dog could check in again. He said that they were only half full and would be able to take her except that he made a rule that customers must give 4 days notice before that can board a dog.\r

I was speechless.... maybe I had wax in my ears... so I clarified with him. I verified that he was only half full. I verified that he had my valid credit card. I verified that my dog had already stayed there for a month this year and that she was well behaved. I verified that he was the one that made this 4 day advance check in rule. Hmmm.. made absolutely no sense. I was not going to make any exceptions.\r

I asked a friend what he thought the reason could be and he said only one word ""IDIOT"". I shook my head in agreement and felt relieved knowing that the situation worked out for the best. There is no way I would want my dog be cared for by an idiot.\r

In the end, I found a verify nice place in Lahaina that was almost full but made accommodations to take my dog that day.
