Big Steer = Big Price and Some Items You Should Steer Clear Of. My family of 5 and a daughter's fiance' went to the Big Steer last night and had mixed results. One daughter had the prime rib and it was prepared to perfection. My wife and I did not fare so well with the steak deBurgo, ordering it medium rare and it showing up well done. And the kicker was that the menu states ""the restaurant is not responsible for steaks over done"". What? I don't recall being in the kitchen preparing the meat so how can the restaurant not be responsible? In addition my wife and I had the potatoes au gratin and they show up with a piece of burnt sliced cheese on the top. \r

The atmosphere is very dated, think of your neighbor's basement from the 70's. Wood panelling and clunky booths. \r

Next time I'm in the mood for a quality steak I will be heading to Fleming's.
