I generally don't provide feedback, but I think I've paid $35 (unnecessarily) for this grand opportunity. \r The Situation: I needed a specific part for a turntable repair; I told them what the problem was and the part required. The Service Rep. asked if I wanted them to put the part in, or just pay for the part and do it myself. I asked how much? He said it would be $35 to put in. If it cost any more than that, or if they found other issues, they would call in advance.\r \r After 3 weeks, they said it was ordered. Then they said they could not locate the part. Hmmm ??? Which one is it?\r After all, I was still charged $35 for the diagnostic? I thought the part was on order and, by the way, didn't ""I tell them"" what the problem was...? (as I scratch my head)\r \r O.k. - I have another one even better. While my turntable part was ""on order"", I found was interested in an out of the box TV (on display). I hadn't gotten rid of my old one yet, but the rep. was ""great"" and it seemed like a good deal. Guess what, I asked him if he gets paid by commission, so I agreed to put $200 down to hold the unit until I came back to purchase (of course once the turntable part was installed). \r \r Later that evening I did a simple web search and found a better unit for $300 or so less. I called immediately the next day to let the rep know what I found, and requested my deposit returned. I knew the quality of what I found was much better for much less.\r \r After multiple phone conversations over a few days they agreed to return my deposit. Although they seem to all be nice guys, it amazed me as to how they wanted to charge me 20% to return ""my deposit"" ... HMMM???! (throwing my hands up!)\r \r WELL, I guess I should just be glad ""THEY DID ME A FAVOR"" and didn't charge me to return MY deposit.\r \r The policies this business has are very poor, and not communicating during the exchange of business.\r Not saying this is bad business, (if your accustom to be economically victimized) but maybe I should have checked the BBB rating before I considered AAAA - Oh well, good luck to all economic hostages as we search for businesses that operate with integrity :) more
