I should have known better using a coupon for a $22 oil change but I did anyway. I took my car to Sears Auto Center. My car is older & has high miles and was low a court or 2 oil, but I figured, why fill it when they just would be draining it anyway. Unfortunatly, after waiting over 2 hours (not a big deal) I picked up my car, paid my bill and went directly home (about 3 miles away). I noticed after leaving Sears, my car was parked the exact same way as it was when I dropped it off. I remember this because I backed into the space and when I looked back to observe my park job, it was slightly crooked. Also, the sticker that reminds the driver of your next oil change was never replaced from my last oil change. The next morning, something told me, I'd better check the dip stick. To my surprise, the oil was dirty and was still low on oil I promptly called Sears Auto Center and took my car back for a recheck. After spending another hour and a half looking it over they didn't know where the oil went, all the seals were fine and the drain plug was in tact. Basically shrugging their shoulders and scratching their heads. After taking it to my mechanic, he noted that the oil was never changed. I called the 1-800 # and filed a complaint. It certainly isn't worth the $22 in annoyance however it's more about principle and not allowing big business to rip consumers off. If you do choose to patronize Sears Auto Center, just make sure you are getting what you are paying for. more
