I have been going to Firestone Animal Hospital for the past 12 years. I have three pets that have been very healthy so far, so all I needed from the vet was shots, spaying, and some easy to diagnose bladder problems. However, my last visit was very disappointing. I took my Labrador, who is now 7 years old regarding hip dysplasia symptoms. I just wanted the doctor to diagnose her and find out how to help her from now on. My bill came out to $429 after x-rays, cortizone shot, a Duralactin medication and office visit, which included $30 for an initial consultation and $33 for an extended consultation (the same day). This was after shaving off an anti-oxidant and allergy medication which the doctor thought my dog needed in addition to everything else. I asked for the name of the antioxidant and they did not give it to me. The Duralactin, I find out through Pet Meds that it is $29 for 60 pills. Well, I paid $90 for the same amount.
