I had a 6 year old chihuahua that has had epilepsy for about 5 years. I recently moved to this area from the inland empire and needed an emergency vet as my dog was acting abnormally and I wanted to get her checked out. I called and explained to the receptionist that wanted to get her checked out and brought her in. Once I get there a staff member came in with a towel and took my dog to the back and the receptionist handed me a clip board for information. I gave the receptionist the number to my dog's regular vet (24 hour but too far away for me to go to) so that she could get the names and dosage of my dogs meds. The receptionist didn't even know what the meds were when the vet tech on the phone told her (keppra a standard and very common seizure med). After about 45 min I was called into a room where I waited for about another 15 min with no one ever coming in to check on me or let me know what was going on.
