We called these guys to come out under warranty, they called to ask what the issue was and we explained it to them. Once they got there they said it wouldnt be warranty and told us our system was out of Freon (coolant) and it would be $292 for 6.5 lbs refil + service call (around $450). The tech said dont fill it, your unit is dead and you need a new one.\r

I called for a second opinion on the repair, the other company was $120 - they said I was short 3lbs of Freon and the unit wasnt cooling as there was a broken wire. I told him was the second estimate, and the first company told me to replace the unit, he said ""Are you kidding, you have at least 5 more years out of this""!\r

If you have deep pockets, call Carl's - if you want your unit repaired properly keep looking for a new contractor!
