Shadowlake has horrible management, always construction, you will get flat tires from nails, management won't care, and maintenance will take forever to fix anything that is broken in your apartment. they have been doing construction for i don't know how long banging on the roof all day long. the workers, maintenance, & u verse at&t people knocked on my door at least 10 times last week, and a water damage inspector just unlocked the door while i was getting dressed and just walked in, and my baby was in living room by herself. the office people and manager are rude and dont care about people who live here. they will especially not care what you say if you are young. i had to tell them everyday for weeks to fix my hot water heater leak because mushrooms and black mold were growing up the wall and in carpet. the roof workers throw tons of nails in the parking lot and we got a flat tire. the workers also threw planks of wood off the roof with nails sticking out of them and didnt even bother to look first and see me and my baby walking on the sidewalk. they almost hit us! and if you bring any of these concerns to the office, the girls get a smart --- voice and attitude with u and claim they'll see to the problem, but never do. smh. and rent is $745 a month for 18 month lease for a 1 bed 600 square ft. apartment 2nd floor. and rent is more expensive for shorter leases. last summer the pool was ""closed for maintenance"" half the summer. the workers also cone off alllllll the spaces so i have to park 2 buildings down and strain myself carrying all the groceries, baby, and bags when I have a spinal condition when I pay rent to be able to park in my building's parking space! they'll walk in whenever they want when your not home or insist on coming in even if youre sleeping or doing something private. They need to hire more maintenance workers because they also work at Calypso bay across the street besides the 13 or so buildings in our complex, it will take them weeks to fix a problem in your apartment. There are also a lot of windows that won't close all the way, which will shoot up your a/c bill. Only half of the outlets work (the cable guy told me the entire complex's wiring is all messed up). I can hear every single noise outside and in my neighbors apartment as if the walls are made of paper. The FEMA inspector also said they weren't built properly and the chimneys weren't properly attached to the building structures so that's why they ripped open during hurricane and water damaged everyone. also another reason to make this construction last longer. more
