I signed up for a CPR renewal class online and when I showed up for class the instructor said I couldn't take the class because my certificate had expired. When I signed up online they indicated to bring an unexpired certificate, but did NOT provide any alternatives as to what to do if the certificate was expired. I figured I needed a renewal and so I signed up for the renewal class.
