Bring cash--lots and lots of cash. I finally made it to the Renaissance Festival this year and left bored and broke. I don't know why they charge admission since you have to pay for everything inside anyway. You can't charge food or beer and are hit up for money every time you turn around. I've never felt so financially accosted in the U.S. in my life. (I have two teenagers so that is saying something.)
