We were visiting friends in Brewer and wanted to take them to breakfast. They picked Coach House so the four of us went. We were seated and I placed my container of Coffeemate creamer (which was in a bag) on the table. One of the waitresses came over and told us we could not bring any food or beverages into the restaurant. I tried to explain it was only for my coffee, but to no avail. We left and went to McDonald's and had a great breakfast and I got to use my creamer. I really can understand the policy for not bringing in food or beverages, but I wasn't planning to drink the coffeemate, just put some in my coffee. The waitress could have been understanding and have me pour some in a cup for my coffee - instead, she lost four customers.
