My mother, who has no knowledge of cars accept to put gas in it, was having engine problems. She went to a auto repair shop in Rockwall and was advised that repairs would cost right at $1000.00. When she called me about the repairs I told her to get a second opinion. She then went to another shop and was told $800.00 to make the repairs. After she described the problem to me again, I told her to go to Horizon Auto Care. Now up to this point I had only used Horizon for oil changes. Off she goes to Horizon and soon calls me back all ecstatic. She had talked to Cliff Payne and was advised that the repairs would only be around $200.00. I immediately drove to Horizon to find out what was wrong with her car. I then learned just how honest the Horizon Auto Care team is. They did not see an elderly woman that they could take advantage of. The other repair center was trying to trump up bogus repairs and costs, I read their repair estimate that was given to Mom. I talked it over with Cliff and he advised that the problem was listed on the estimate but that the rest of the repair items listed were not needed. Horizon made the repairs and her car ran fine till she sold it 6 years later. Since this event, approximately 10-12 years ago, I have never had a second thought in referring any one to Horizon, My wife goes there for all auto related needs, as well as my son. When my daughter starts to drive she to will go to Horizon.
