To those who dissed Grampa's, all I can say is that they need to take their snobby gourmand attitudes and put them away somewhere. There is no other restaurant in the area that serves a big, hearty meal like Grampa's. No scrimping and no haute cousine here...just good old country cooking. Their mashed potatoes are real, not boxed or frozen. All their food is good from breakfast through lunch. And speaking of breakfast, their grits are the best I have eaten since my mom used to make them when I was a kid. The waitstaff is fantastic...always friendly and happy to see you. The bakery serves the best baked goods in town! I could NOT believe the person who said it wasn't good. They must have damage to their taste buds to say something like that. \r

Bottom line: Excellent food, warm and friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices. I would eat there every day if I could. Unfortunately, we live 12 miles away and even so, we make the trip every weekend for late breakfast. This place is the BEST!! Go and enjoy one of the best meals you have ever eaten.
