My husband went to my storage unit to get some of my kids' clothes and toys, it was the first time that me or him had been to the unit since may 2, 2012 when i had rented it. I am current on my rent, i just got done paying my first months rent and come to find out, my husband couldnt get into the storage unit because the owner had put another lock on my unit, so the manager came and unlocked our unit and come to find out all of our stuff was gone! The unit was completely cleaned out. The manager had given me a lock, a ""sturdy"" lock that could not be cut off...i got on the phone with her (since i am in another state visiting a relative) and she hung up on me three times and i asked her for the owners number so i could speak with the owner, the manager refused to give it to me and so i called some other AAA alliance self storage properties to see if i could get the owners number to be able to let him know about what i s going on at his units and to let him know how unprofessional the manager was for screaming and hollering at me andthen hanging up on me three times, and no one would give me the number. I am still determined to get the owners number because someone will soon be out of a job. The police were called and went to the location to do a police report. I have never in my life had such a horrible experience with another storage place, i have rented out other units before and i have never had this happen to me.. all of my kids stuff (toys, clothes, expensive doll house) and i had my selena statues, and very important paperwork and sentimental letters from close friends and relatives that i will never be able to get back. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone, if you want your stuff to get stolen then by all means, this is your place to get a unit if u want to get jacked for all of your stuff..I honestly think that the manager or her husband were involved, or one of hte neighboring storage units. I told the manager that i wanted to get reimbursted for all of my stolen property and she advised me that she would not reimburst me...how professional is that? DO NOT RENT UNITS FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR STUFF STOLEN!!!!!
