Let me start by saying, the quality of the work to the naked eye looks great! It is tidy and all of the vents and flashing's were replaced and sealed to my expectations. The color and layout of the shingles look sound. The roof has not seen any foul weather yet but I expect it to hold up as promised. The crews cleaned up the debris and the work was completed in the time frame promised.
We experienced some failures in communication that caused us some grief. The materials drop off that was scheduled and promised the day before the work was to begin did not arrive until after demolition work had actually started the next day.
We had also discussed and came to an agreement with our insurance adjuster and our Jasper rep during the inspection that only one of our sheds was to have its roof replaced. The work crew got over zealous and tore the roof off of the lean-to shed that was NOT to be touched after they had begun work on the shed that was to be replaced. The lean-to shed needed repair work done to it and that work needed to be completed before any roofing work could begin. The Jasper teams lack of understanding the situation forced us to conduct those repairs immediately and left the property inside that shed exposed to the elements. 3 bundles of shingles were left behind by Jasper to cover the Lean-to after our repairs were complete. This particular incident leaves me torn in my opinion... they had no business touching that shed at ALL. They either did not follow directions or were not paying attention. However, they did shorten the length of work of the repair by doing demolition work on it. I will categorize this under mixed blessing.
During the demolition of the house roof the force of vibrations above caused the screws to back out of a ceiling light fixture cover causing it to crash to the floor and shatter.
I cannot give a 100 glowing review of the work but I hope this is the last and only negative things I have to say about it.
