Editorial review from Citysearch 6/28/2012

When the final loan/sales papers for the car were signed, the list price was suddenly $400 higher. The salesman told the person signing the loan/sales agreement that it was an ""extra bank fee"" (written into the cash price??). After-the fact, at a later date, when a family member later questioned one of the involved Auto tech salesmen about the discrepancy (over the phone), the salesman again claimed that the discrepancy was due to an ""unwritten"" bank fee, yet refused to put this in writing, or give any receipt for this ""bank fee"". All the other fees were clearly listed on the final sale papers. A current (at that time) internet posting of the car, as well as a hand printout from them (both saved), had listed the price as $400 less, just a couple of days before the signing... The salesman then claimed that they had the right to change the listed price as they saw fit... As our conversation continued, the salesman proceeded to twist info around, was abrasive, and even threatening. In summary: In boosting the price of the vehicle at the time of signing, Autotech took advantage of people having a hard time finding financing, and desperate for a car. So far the car is good, but it came with out a warranty. We only went there because we had trouble obtaining financing, which is the reason that most probably go there. more
