This Girl Scouts camp is EXHILARATING for campers and camp couselors but its not only for girl scouts - nonscouts are encouraged to come too. Its a small camp with lots of wilderness sorrounding it with a the main city of Idyllwild, CA 9 miles away. I was trained through their CIT (Counselor In Training) & VIC (Voulunteer in Camp) programs and became a camp counselor for 2 years. LOVED IT!!! When my own daughter was 7 or 8 years old I sent her and she felt right at home. Later she too went through the LEAP, CIT 1 & CIT 2 programs and hopes to be a camp counselor next year. Best time and memories for a lifetime.
