A month ago, I made an appointment for hair straightening, the earliest appointment being in five weeks. While on vacation, the salon called and left a message to come in for a consultation. Being out of the state, I could not make it there that day - I actually didn't even know about it until I came home from vacation. Needless to say, my appointment was canceled. I was never told I had to have a consult when I made this appointment, nor was I ever told my appointment was canceled, although the receptionist said she tried to reach me. Growing up in Japan, I have had this treatment three times before and the procedure is as common there as getting your hair colored over here. I am baffled and deeply disappointed by their lack of communication and follow up. I am frustrated that I waited five weeks for nothing. Thank goodness we live close enough to NYC that there are many other options. I will NEVER go here.
