My daughter went to Dr Emiliani for about 4 years. The entire time she went to see him, he was rude to us, told me I didn't understand my own daughter, wouldn't listen to anything I had to say about my own daughter's behavior, accused me of thinking I ""must be a doctor"" because I asked questions he didn't want to answer, and was generally a jerk to me, and my daughter, every time we went in. On days my husband would bring her in, he would say ""Oh, so your wife, The Doctor, didn't come today?"". I questioned him because almost everytime we went to see him he would change my daughter's medications. It finally got to the point where the medications he was giving her put her in the hospital : She had lost over 40 pounds, was lethargic, was shaking all the time, and couldn't hold a simple conversation for longer then 2 minutes. I went to Dr E several times and voiced my concerns...he would just look at me smuggly, and say that HE was the doctor, not me. Finally, when my daughter passed out at home 3 seperate times, I said enough is enough, and took her to the hospital, at MCV. The head of Childrens Psychiatrics came and saw her and told me that almost all of the 5 medications Dr E was giving her were unnecessary, and in fact, had made her sick. He also told me if I hadn't brought her in when I did, she may have ended up with perminant damage from the medications. Through him, we were able to get her into another doctor's office right away. I never went back to Dr E's office. If you have your child seeing Dr Emiliani, stop right now and find another Dr. As soon as my daughter started going to another doctor, it was like she was a completely different child......she has made great improvements and is doing more than well. Thank God for MCV....they saved my daughter's life!
