I started doing business with Beck to keep my money local as opposed to using the more convenient dealership near where I work in Gainesville. In 2010 I had the headlights replaced on my GMC Acadia. In January of 2012, GMC issued a service bulletin on the headlights and offered a refund for the work that was already done. I submitted my refund request to Aaron at Beck Chevrolet and was told that the refund would be received within 30 days. In February of 2012, I took my car to Beck for some work on the fuel system. After getting their quote, I ok'd the work. BIG MISTAKE! I called around to check prices at other shops and found they were charging me more than double of what other shops would. I called back to cancel the work and was informed that the mechanic was already putting it back together after the replacing the parts and they would still have to charge me the full labor cost, even if they took the parts off.
