If I could give them a negative 5 STAR RATING i WOULD! My 90 year old mom purchased a new AC unit from Pride 3 1/2 years ago. It has given us nothing but problems. It'a alwayshumid in the house and the coils freeze every time we turn it down to 70 degrees. I have had to live with the contents of my hall/air handler closet contents on my couch and in my living room so I can get into there to check the cllois every night.
I have lost over 3 months of wrk over the past 3 years waiting on their technicians and every tech has given me a diiferent excuse as to why it isn't running properly and tell me the unit is fine. I had less problems w3ith the 35 year old ac unit it replaced. My Mom is on the medical emergency list for ac repairs because of her health conditions. I called today and they told me they don't have a medical emergency st. However they have a medical emrgency waiting list. It's almost 90 degrees in the condo and when I called for service they said they can't get snyone out there until Monday. The last time I had to call them they were supposed to show up by 5. When I called the office to find out where they were I was told someone had cancelled the appointment. I have a laundry list of poor service with them and told my mother to stop renewing her contract because they are useless. Pride has no pride! Save your money and hire a contractor when you need services. It will be cheaper in the end. Any time they came to fix the AC they managed to bill us $200 - $600 on top of the $400+ they charge for the service contract. This has been going on from the time it was installed. It's a relatively new AC Unit. Yet they say there is nothing wrong with it. Poor service, liars and theives!
