Extremely poor customer service 5/18/2012

My brand new Toro, purchased at Home Depot, failed to start after one month of use. Toro has a "1st or 2nd pull or we fix it free for 3 years" warranty, so I \r \r called Toro to arrange service. They suggested a shop much farther from my home than Wayne Lawn & Garden, and I asked about using them, since they have Toro all \r \r over their shop walls. The agent said yes, they are a warranty service center, but let me give you the number of [another local shop], just in case. I thought \r \r it odd - Toro favoritism? Called the shop, and they said that all I needed was the receipt to establish date of purchase, and we'd be all set.\r \r Upon arriving at the shop, the attendant did everything but shove me out the door. They were very adversarial, and clearly did not want to fulfill the warranty \r \r contract - I *should* have walked out at that point, but people I respect said they always did great work. Despite my misgivings, I left the mower with them. \r \r They called me a few days later to say more
