This was, hands down, the worst experience I've ever had in a retail store. I decided to use this small, locally owned business for a jewelry repair, even though it was slightly more expensive than nearby chain jewelry stores. It was a huge mistake! When I picked up my jewelry, I was dissatisfied with the work. I let the owner know and he became very angry. We argued and I agreed to pay in full (and resolved to myself to go elsewhere to have the work performed satisfactorily). The owner then went to the back of the store as the cashier rang up the sale. The cashier said to me, You ll have to come over here to enter your PIN (since I'd used my debit card). I stepped behind the counter, as she had requested, because both she and the PIN pad were at least three feet behind the counter and it would be impossible to reach otherwise. The owner then came charging at me from the back of the store, red faced and shouting at me for being behind the counter. I stood there completely stunned. When
