Beta Lounge is on a quiet block of Durant, just a couple of blocks below campus. The ambiance is kind of loft-ish and kind of city without being over the top. Their happy hour runs till 9pm which is great. The cocktails are wine - based, they have a few microbrews on tap, and overall it's a great spot to stop for a drink (maybe on your way to BART or a show at Zellerbach) and catch up with friends.
