Several years ago, I went to Tiffany's to buy a necklace for my daughter as a graduation gift. As a divorced working mom of 6, I don't have a lot of money and that was a splurge for me. The first salesperson I approached, I don't know her name but she looked asian, completely ignored me. She couldn't have spent 5 minutes helping me buy this necklace. Another salesperson was nice and helpful but if my daughter didn't want this specific thing I would have walked out of the store. I've never seen such a rude salesperson.
