We went in to this store recently to purchase boots for my husband and 2 boys. After leaving with my husband's boots we noticed when we arrived home that there was defects on the heel. I called the store to exchange them and was told to come in to do so. Upon traveling 90 minutes one way, I was informed that they didn't have the boot in that size nor anything close so we opted to order the boot.
I again traveled back to the store and was told that the boot wasn't available as it was discontinued and they did not offer refunds only store credit. Upon getting upset, the store owner Mr. Ronnie said that he could have the boot repaired if I was willing to wait. I said fine, I left the boots and went shopping to kill time. I called many times over the next few hours only to be told that the boots weren't back yet. I finally gave up and went home. 2 DAYS LATER I received a call that they were back!! I was livid to say the least when I again drove to the store and the boots STILL have the marks all over them.
I was then told the owner had been in an accident and not available and that Michelle the store manager could possibly get a similar boot but it would take 2 months. In all I would have to wait at least 3 months to have a product that we had paid almost $500 for. They would not budge on giving me a refund and were not helpful in the least. I flat out told them I was going to dispute the transaction and received a ""so what"" attitude.
They did not disclose their store policy upfront or I would not have done business with them to begin with. As a small business owner, I understand customer service and the importance of customer loyalty, Sylvester's does not. Not only did I have to go to my credit card company to resolve this but I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of these thieves. Buy online or take the drive to Gonzalez. Trust me when I say that you are better off giving your hard-earned money to people who deserve it.
