My husband and I enjoy going to Castroville for First Friday. We drove by a little cafe called La Isla on Hwy 90 and decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did!! The burgers and fries taste home made. They were cooked to order and were fantastic. I enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich with grilled jalapenos & onions. Our friends loved the puffy tacos. They also serve Blue Bell ice cream. Currently they are only open for breakfast, lunch and in the evenings on First Friday but beginning June they will be open until 9:00pm. If you're in Castroville give La Isla a try. I know you'll love it.
