SHAME ON ABELLA BRIDAL!
I had an extremely negative experience at Abella Bridal. I started out thrilled at the dress store to find what I thought would be my dream dress. I was pretty immediately turned off by the sales woman (WHO TURNED OUT TO BE THE GENERAL MANAGER, JULIE) there because of her extreme pressure to buy. Although, high pressure sales usually turn me away quickly I decided to try on a dress. The lady pinned me up the back and I stepped out to show my family. It looked beautiful on but was not in my size. Julie did my measurements and told me ""You are a perfect four! The only alterations that will need done are a hem on the bottom. I ordered the dress under the assumption that the lady working there had done the right measurements and would order my dress in the right size. I signed their contract which was a no return contract and went home, waiting anxiously for my dream dress to arrive.
What happened next was the worst experience I have had in making a purchase with a company that should be working for satisfaction among their clients. The dress arrived and as soon as I pulled it out of the box I could tell it looked large. I put the dress on and I was swimming in extra fabric. It was AT LEAST two, maybe three sizes too big. The thing that was most frustrating was that the sales lady assured me that the only alterations she could imagine needing done was a hemline on the bottom. What blew my mind was not only would the hem need done (this is totally expected) but that I could pinch two inches of fabric from every area of the shoulders, bust, underarms, hips and waist. I contacted the company, assuming it was a mistake because no one in their right mind would order me a dress in a size that was so obviously wrong. I was told I could get no help and only reached rude responses.
A suggestion to all ladies looking to to find the dress of their dreams... AVOID ABELLA BRIDAL LIKE THE PLAGUE, they are incompetent and are using fraudulent sales tactics.
