Our experience with this contractor was TERRIBLE, and we are not difficult people to work with. Our daughter's room became HOT this summer...with her vents fully open barely any air blows out at all. A Grayson-Collin tech was dispatched via Fidelity, our warranty company, and ""repaired"" a hole in our ductwork on Monday, and in leaving said, ""If you have anymore problems, call us because maybe there's a hole I missed patching.""
Our daughter's room continued to be hot, so...
...we called them next day,Tuesday, and they said they would be out the FOLLOWING Tuesday to find perhaps another hole in the ductwork.
My daughter's room was hot the entire week and weekend, and we all looked forward to getting relief for her. (Her elderly grandfather's room is across the hall from hers, and his room is cool, just as a piece of information.)
However; Grayson-Collin did not show up! Instead, they called our warranty company, Fidelity, and told them that THEY HAD BEEN TO OUR HOUSE ON THURSDAY, and our unit was ""working as designed."" They were NOT here on Thursday, which our warranty company, Fidelity, was finally able to determine.
Grayson-Collin suddenly claims that our air conditioning system is poorly designed and doesn't work because the ductwork is inadequate, which is strange to us because it HAS been working in previous summers (we are friends with the previous homeowners), and prior to moving in, we had a certified inspector look at it. Also, why is it that the room across the hall is cool?
Still, since we were having problems they didn't fix, Grayson-Collin made an appointment via Fidelity to come the following Friday, but Grayson-Collin themselves called me at 5PM or so Thursday evening and said they'd be there the following Monday instead.
Needless to say, we asked our warranty company to transfer our contract to Dimension, which has been here and done super work for us with cheerful attitudes. Fidelity graciously obliged, with great sympathy to our situation and our daughter's discomfort.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. If I could give negative stars, I would.
