I slipped down some stairs in November, which resulted in a somewhat displaced toe. I assumed it was broken and, horror of all horrors to medical practitioners, ignored it. My twin sister has been a client of Dr. Burkholder for quite a while and brought me along with her for one of her visits early April. She revealed my toe's deformity (firmly situated by scar tissue after nearly 6 months of walking improperly). Dr. Burkholder was incredibly kind and helpful!!! My toe was X-rayed at a very reasonable price. My toe is thankfully NOT broken...it's dislocated. As I was only in town for a week, Dr. Burkholder fit me into the schedule and met with me three times before I left town.
He showed me some exercises for my toe, which I've been using and as a result, my toe is looking and feeling much better. He is fantastic! I highly recommend Dr. Burkholder! He is very professional, kind, and understanding.
Side note for parents: If I had children, I would totally take them to his practice!!!! He regularly corrects his own children's spines, which is incredible- especially for active, sporty kids.
