Budget Bikes Offers Warranty on Every Product and Service 4/25/2012

In reference to the review posted below, please note that Steve Rudenko's bike was serviced in SEPTEMBER 2010, 1.5 years ago. The carburetor was completely trashed from lack of use - which is fine, it happens a lot, but it is not common for the owner to blame his service shop for the fact that he chose to leave the bike sitting for three years before he brought it to us, and then another 1.5 years afterwards. Steve, I'm afraid you have been completely duped my friend, we worked on that carb and had it clean enough to eat off of. The bike ran GREAT when it left. Apparently you may not be aware that ANY carburetor will rot on the vine if ETHANOL gas is left in it for a year or more -- actually, only three months or more without use. I know the people at Texas Yamaha South and in fact we work with them on a frequent basis, we buy a lot of our Yamaha parts there. I am certainly ready and willing to chase this down if you want us to, but it sounds like you have been completely duped my friend, and as though you failed to investigate allegations that their salesman made in an effort to reduce the purchase value of your motorcycle. You could have called us and I would have been on the phone with them in a minute. We are sorry that you decided not to do that, and instead, to quote your own earlier post, you accepted a diagnosis of a gasket that is affected ""by carburetor cleaning or oil change"". No such gasket exists!!! And yes, as stated before, ALL carburetors ""have tubes hanging down"" -- They are called the drain and the overflow. I would recommend with all due respect sir that when someone is trying to lower your sales price on a vehicle you are selling, you should investigate their claims before accepting them at face value. I would also suggest that if their ""certified tech"" told you that your motorcycle ran for a year and a half on one cylinder without you knowing it, and that there are gaskets that are common to both oil change and carb cleaning ... and if he told you that there should not be tubes hanging down from the carb, you should be trashing HIM on the internet, not us. Ok? And please note that warranty on carb cleaning is 30 days (not a year and a half) because we cannot control whether or not customers decide to let their bike sit or not. And for God's sake, if you bought another motorcycle, please don't leave it sitting in the garage for five years this time ok? Any rider will tell you that the motorcycle will not respond well. I would invite any reader who has concerns to contact us, reference this posting, and ask to see invoice # 1632 for more information. more
