I went to Dr. Craig a few times. I initially went to see him because I had just moved into the area and needed a dentist. He is a very nice man but when he gave me the cleaning it was really painful, I never experienced this before. I thought maybe it was because I had sensitive teeth. I had 2 cavities that he said needed to be taken care of. I really was skeptical about coming back and my mom told me I shouldn’t go back after being in such pain but they had appointments on weekends and I didn’t have another dentist I knew about. Well let me tell you I was so sorry I had gone back there. The first appointment for one of the fillings went ok. But the second appointment was really bad. He gave me an injection and immediately my left side of my mouth going down to my neck swelled up like an egg. I got extremely nervous because this had NEVER happened to me before. I asked the Doctor and he said it was normal. So he began to drill the tooth and it was painful My tooth area was not numb but the whole side of my mouth was. He then needed to give me about 4 injections right on the gum area of the tooth, these were pretty painful. So he finished the filling and I went home in excruciating pain that I was crying I felt horrible. I looked in the mirror and saw that the gum around my tooth was black and blue I never had this before either! I felt scarred from ever going to the dentist again. I immediately cancelled all my upcoming appointments. About 1 months later I was now in excruciating pain worse off than just having a cavity. I went to another dentist near my job and this dentist told me that the filling Dr. Craig did was missing a whole area on the bottom and it needed to be taken care of right away. I had an infection and had to have another horribly painful dental experience. This dentist told me I would need to most likely have a root canal done. He said he would try just re doing the filling first. I had the filling done and I was in such pain after that I had to have Tylenol codeine ordered for me and antibiotics. This pain persisted for a few more months and then I ended up going to a really highly recommended dentist and he took care of this tooth by doing a root canal and crown. I was so afraid of dentist because of this one experience with Dr. Craig but my dentist now is so much better. I don’t even feel the injection of Novocain at all and he fixed the other filling Dr. Craig did for me in 20 min without me feeling as much as a pinch.
Although the Dentist and his receptionist are fairly nice (the Dentist is much nicer than the girls in the front) I don’t think shotty dental work should be acceptable because someone is a nice person. I would never recommend anyone to go to this office.
