Two Valuable reasons why to BE CAREFUL when you eat at Landry's El Paso.
I was charged a mandatory gratuity of 20% because I was with a party of 8, even though our ticket was only for 4 people.
I charged the total amount on my credit card for final payment of that meal. My credit card STATEMENT showed I was charged an additional $5 more than the amount on my final receipt.
I called and manager confirmed that the additional $5 was added as an additional tip. He also revealed that the mandatory gratuity of 20% was incorrect. It was supposed to be a mandatory gratuity of 18%.
I am supposed to receive a credit for the over charges on my credit card. We shall see.
Unfortunately, the waiter and supervisor will probably get a slap on the hand for this. I wonder how many other customers they've done this to?
