BEWARE!! BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!!!!
This company nearly ruined our senior prom.... We booked a party bus in March-- 4 weeks before our senior prom. They charged our credit card the $250 deposit. Fast forward to about 3 pm on the day of the prom. Jerred (the owner presumptively) called us to tell us that we were getting a brand new party bus, however it was being built and it wasn't completely finished yet!! He said the company building it (in Ceres, CA) had several employees working around the clock to get it finished, and we would still be getting the bus, however it wouldn't have the TV's or the PlayStation in it. Now they were supposed to be picking us up from the Country Club at 8pm. I renegotiated the rental rate at that time since they weren't going to be delivering the product that was under contract. Fast forward again to approximately 7:45pm (15 minutes before the kids were to be picked up) --- I receive a telephone call from the Limo Doctor in Ceres (the company building the limo) who states that they still have approximately 45 minutes ""or so"" left to finish putting the limo together! Then the driver would still have to fill it up with gas, and drive approximately 50 minutes to the Country Club where all of the kids are waiting for the party bus transportation to their prom site. Best case scenario would have the kids picked up around 10pm!! The builder of the limo said he told Jerred weeks before that he couldn't guarantee the limo would be built by the day of our prom, but Jerred at Starlight Limo still booked it with us and never told us this up until the afternoon of the prom. We were absolutely livid, and I called Jerred who said ""there was nothing he could do"", and gave a feeble attempt at apologizing. We had to scramble very fast and send several parents with Suburbans over to the Country Club to pick up the 30 kids to transport them to the prom site in Lodi, CA. The kids were great and didn't let this ruin their prom night, but needless to say were disappointed. Jerred had the least sincere apology, stating ""we took the risk"" when we signed the contract, but we honestly were never informed that the limo was being built until 3 pm that day!!! I The contract was from 8 pm to 1 am. After approx. 5 days, I contacted Jerred asking about my refund of the deposit, and he said he had just refunded my credit card. I asked for a receipt and gave him my address, and approx. 10 days later when I hadn't received my receipt, I contacted my credit card company to find out no credit was issued!! I contacted Jerred again, who said that something must have gone wrong with the credit (clearly lying, especially when I asked why I didn't receive my copy of the receipt...). He told me he would look into it when he got to his office later than morning and call me back by 10:30 am. I received no phone call that entire day, so I called him again the next day. He said he would email me the receipt this time, and I gave him my email address. It is now 3 days later and I still haven't received my receipt either by regular mail or email. I did contact my credit card company again and the credit was issued 2 days ago so at least I got my money back.
Bottom line, Jerred is untrustworthy and deceitful, dishonest and a true shyster and I would never in a million years book from this limousine company again. Clearly these other posters and have also had similar horrible experiences, so if you are looking for a limo, look elsewhere. If we could give negative stars, we would!!!!!!
