I was given the daunting task of planning a tea party for my in-laws 50th anniversary from Vermont. Having grown up in the area I was familiar with a few local tea rooms. I was looking for a place that was charming, was in a historic location and would accommodate a 20 people including 5 children. Also, I needed a good value since no one in this family had won the mega-millions recently. Thankfully the tea gods heard my plea and pointed me in the direction of Miss Julia Faye.
Miss Faye is the epitome of charm in Charm City. She is gracious, gregarious and gorgeous in her tea service costume complete with chapeau!
She didn't squawk when some of our party lacked the good graces to be punctual. She did not balk when some turned their noses up at her delicious cream of seafood soup (instead she offered up alternative choices 'til the picky palates were pleased). She did everything one can imagine to create a lovely party right down to trimming the crusts off the childrens grilled cheeses. The tea was a delight and the food was superb.
