I have been looking for a place to learn a martial art where I would feel comfortable. As a woman, I often felt intimidated in my previous experiences at martial arts schools.
My first class had at least half females in it. The instructors (and other students) were extremely nice, approachable and helpful. There were 3 instructors and I had individual attention. That has continued and is very important to me because it was a problem I ran into at other martial arts schools.
I was so pleased with my first class that I signed up afterwards. I felt no pressure to do so, only enthusiasm. I have been to other places that charged less but soon quit after feeling discouraged.
It's been a couple months and I'm happy with the progress I'm making. I'm getting a great workout while learning to defend myself. I really can't say enough about how positive my experience at Superstar Karate has been.
