As I was considering a martial arts class in Highlands Ranch/South Denver, I was pleased to find that they were everywhere. And I knew what I wanted: An experienced martial arts instructor; a school that challenged what I thought was possible; an environment that embraced mind, body and spirit; a flexible schedule and school that did not give out advanced belts simply for showing up to class (I saw a lot of really young black belts!). After visiting a handful of schools I was thinking that I would need to go outside the the Highlands Ranch area.
And then I found Spirit Warrior Martial Arts...took advantage of the two free lessons and signed up right away. Easy decision - Sabumnim Niemi is an amazing instructor that somehow manages to pull the absolute best out of his students (both old and young). It's a great atmosphere, the students are serious but really enjoy the work and each other. And you don't advance in rank just for showing up. You earn it.
I'd strongly recommend taking advantage of the two free classes and spend some time with Sabumnim Niemi and the students at the school.
