I am disappointed but not surprised at the comments made by `Pissed Off Parent? (POP). POP stated that we did a lousy job baby-sitting and did not teach Karate.
The Karate Dojo is not a childcare facility and we do not teach school curriculum. It is obvious that POP is misguided.
I think the comments made by Don9317 really sum up the entire situation. We regret that another child smacked her child on the arm after she barged in on her while she was changing. However, this situation with her problematic child failing to follow the rules was an ongoing problem. This was the true reason she brought her child to the Dojo; not for babysitting or academic tutoring.
Where were the adults? Definitely not in the changing room while young GIRLS are changing! POP maintained that she was unhappy, but continued to bring her child for the entire summer. This parent was simply tied of us insisting that her child was problematic and that she needed to take the leadership role of PARENT.
POP is correct; she would be better off at the YMCA. FYI: The YMCA is not a babysitting/ Child Care Center as well.
