My fiance and I spoke to several local banks and didn't feel like they really cared about us at all. Also, the rates and fees were fairly high considering the current climate. Paul assured us he could do better. It was a win win since we'd much rather go with a locally owned mom and pop type of business than a giant bank. Anyway, despite our good credit,20% down payment and a highly qualified cosigner,the rates ended up being even higher. He would ramble at us on the phone,show up to our meetings looking borderline homeless...And constantly delaying things. Maybe this is atypical, but we went decided to rent for a while and see what happens.
