I look for a church that upholds the Bible and doesn't force preferences upon the members. I like that my kids are loved by their teachers and are taught truth in an engaging manner, and that when I am willing to show up to the functions I don't feel like I'm ever standing on the sidelines. LOL I know when I stay home I miss out on a good time and an opportunity to develop relationships, but that's my choice and no one makes me feel guilty when I do stay home!
Central Baptist Church teaches and encourages members in our daily lives for Christ, and reaches out to the community to lead others to the Lord. The teachings at CBC aren't peoples' personal opinions (although we share those in discussion) but truth based on the Bible. The members are caring and are willing and reach out to be your friend. The pastor leads by example and studies the Bible like he's prepping for the Book of Eli movie to come true!
