Lakeview Restaurant is on the lake in Coventry Conn. They offer Italian, Seafood, Steak, Pizza, Sandwiches & Burgers. They have an outdoor deck overlooking the lake. They have a large bar, and big screen TV.
When we first arrived we were happy to be reunited with our favorite waiter, Joey from Coventry Pizza, who we had not seen in 3 years. We sat in a booth overlooking the lake.
I got the Rib Eye Steak Sandwich topped with a delicious combination of sauteed onions, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese. The Steak Fries were the way I like them; hot and crispy golden brown.
Liz got the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo served over Linguini. I sampled some, both the chicken and white sauce were very tasty. The portion was very generous, we took half of it home.
Joey, our server, was very attentive & friendly. Leo, the manager, thanked us as we were leaving and was very friendly with us. Next time we try an appetizer; Chicken Wings, Fried Calamari, Stuffed Mushrooms, Sweet Potato Fries, Shrimp, Smelts in a Basket. Then split an Antipasto Salad, or Baked Lasagna.
LakeView Restaurant, review #2 We went back again to dine at the
LakeView. They had a ""Fresh Whole Belly Clams"" sign out in front. Of
course that's what I ordered and I am happy to report that LakeView's
clams are among the best I've ever tasted, and I've been eating clams for 50+ years.
Leo, the manager, remembered us from the last time we were there. He stopped by my table to chit-chat but it was clear he was very busy with customers. The gigantic bar area was filled with a big private party (30+ people) having lots of fun along with their dinners.
