Holy money grubbers, Batman! I used to love this studio a few years ago when it was unpacked and $10 a class. Now it's nearly $20 a class to be jammed into a tiny room with waaaaay too many people. There are no locker rooms or showers. If you need to change, you have to go in one of their two tiny bathroom stalls. The only reason I once loved this studio was Shawn and Sharon, who teach Ashtanga and Restorative Flow, respectively.
Now on to the part that irritates the heck out of me.
Here's the deal: I was given a GIFT of an auto-pay package for a year and the last payment fell through apparently. Even though I never went to the studio for 8+ months of that year (I broke my foot), they hounded me for that month payment. Um, check your records, guys - I never went to a class. Oh right, and this was a GIFT. How is it my responsibility to pay this? And no, I'm not making this up. I couldn't believe it either.
One of the managers, Megan I think it is, is dreadful - very sweet sounding, but the words that actually come out of her mouth are rude and threatening. How does that even work? She called me several times a week to try and squeeze that $99 payment out of me that wasn't even my responsibility, which I very nicely (at first) told her was not my responsibility and to check her records.
So what did they do, despite knowing all this? Instead of being a courteous group of ""yogis"" with a busy business, they send me to collections for $99. Wow. Really? Is that even legal? I'll have to check into it.
I am fed up with these people and am seriously disappointed in their behavior and greed. I hope Shawn and Sharon go work at a different studio, because I would gladly take their classes elsewhere (they are amazing teachers). Sorry for such a horrible review, but it needs to be said so that either people can avoid this studio and patronize a better place, or so that this studio knows to take it upon themselves to improve and provide people a more genuine experience, and less of a ""I need your credit card now"" vibe.
