Not a good place to work as a Phlebotomist 3/30/2012

As a worker, you can see what goes on from the back door. 1) TB test are not offered to new hire employee (exposing the patients to disease) 2) Vaccinations/hepatitis test/shots not verified or offered to new hire employees (exposing the patients to disease) 3) Drug screen not offered to new hire employees. (so if medication comes up missing from your drug cart you know who to blame) 4) No proper orientation was offered to go over hazards/HIPPA and other information that new hires have a right to know. 5) Offers VERY poor insurance that is expensive. 6) manages Phlebotomist with a slave mentality not caring if employees is sick (tries to force sick employees to work exposing patients to becoming ill). Over-work phlebotomist due to lack of staffing. During training we are told our lunch break is while we are traveling from one facility to the next. We are not allowed to take normal lunch breaks and never allowed to take regular 15 mintues breaks even after working 10 hours. more
