My hospital called in a prescription on 3/27/2012. I called to confirm the prescription was ready for pick and was told yes. Upon arrival to collect the medicine for my 1 year old son. The employee told me to "come back tomorrow" when I explained that I was told he needed to start the medicine tonight I was told "we don't carry the medicine they will see what they can do" I was then made to wait 2 HOURS. After waiting the two hours and making it clear that they told my sons dr and myself that the perscription was available and ready and I would NOT leave with out it, the prescription was finally filled with what I was told was a "substitute". As paying for the medicine I read the label and then confirmed it was the exact medicine on my copy of the prescription. The pharmacy cashier told e they needed to determine if there was "greater need" for the medicine then my prescription since that was their last bottle!!!!
