I?m very sorry to hear that someone reacted to me in this way. I always treat my patients as I would like to be treated. Being a current dental patient myself, undergoing treatment with braces, I am very sensitive to how it feels to be the one receiving treatment. Unfortunately, this person reacted with irrational behavior, she had introduced herself, as did I, we shook hands and she smiled at me. It seemed like everything was normal until she heard the bags of sterilized instruments being opened. She came out of the room crying and screaming at the top of her lungs. We attempted to calm her down but with little success. She left the office only to return a few short minutes later asking if she could still get her fillings done! I suspect this person have a very severe fear on dentistry and choose to react this way. If I would have know she was so fearful I could have offered to sedate her!
