My headline says it all. Nice informal place to squeeze in and eat great sushi and sashimi. My wife and I drive in here from very far away to line up at the front door before opening time, get a table, drink some sake , and then go over to Cafe Trieste for a mocha and relax before heading out to meet friends in the city across town. It's a ""best kept secret"" but if you arrive late you could wait for hours to eat there- not a good impromptu stop for that reason. You've got to plan ahead. Too bad they won't send out texts so you can go to a cafe and wait for your turn. Many people end up waiting out in the cold for hours. Hey, I've done it! And with good conversation I didn't really mind. It's part of the adventure when going out in crazy SF. This is one of those places that offers good value since they keep overhead and rent at a minimum. Great sushi though, served with nice hot green tea of a good quality and taste. Can't be beat.
