When we first signed up with R&I we thought we were lucky and greatful that we were able to get in a house for at the time our credit was not the greatest. The first problem came when we tried to get them to come out and fix a toilet that was leaking water everywhere, they came two weeks later after we fixed the toilet. then after a year of living in the house we had a check sent back to us saying we can no longer use personal checks since we bounced one the month before, I checked my statements we had not bounced any checks in fact it cleared without any issues. but we were not called they did not accept our payment and were notified only when we received the check back we called them and they told us that we had 3 days to get the money to them or they will start evicting us. They are not all bad we had a pipe burst and they responded within a day, we had the basement get flooded twice and help was here the next day, they respond well when there are real issues with the house. Our biggest issues have been customer service they treat us like low lifes. They do not send out invoices of any form and then charges pop up from six months before and you are just finding out about them even though a month before we received an invoice saying we were current, but we were late the month this happened and all of a sudden we had late charges from 6 months before still sitting on our account and then the new charges. Use at own risk, they may not be honest especially if you have had money issues or credit issues you may be marked as a victim to take avantage of.
