Horrible! 2/12/2012

My husband and I had reservations for 6 pm on a Saturday night prior to attending a concert at Segerstrom. We were seated promptly. The restaurant is very loud and it is had to have a conversation without raising your voice. Our server was Kirsten. We had a glass of wine each and had a bottle with dinner which we did not finish. I had the ceviche and my husband had the wedge salad, both were good, not outstanding. For our entree, my husband had the whole snapper and I had the scallops. The fish was good, the vegetables surrounding were undercooked and charred at the same time. The plate not arranged in any artful fashion just kind of ""plopped"" on the plate. When my scallops arrived the plate was set in front of me on top of my silverware so the plate was very noticable lop sided, the person who delivered just look at both of us and had an oblivious smile. Before booking dinner here I looked at the website which showed numerous pictures of the menu items, all beautifully and artfully plated. What a misrepresentation!! There were 4 scallops 2 large and 2 much smaller and actually falling apart. The ""mess"" of undetermined vegetables (never could figure out what they were) again just ""plopped"" on the plate along with the scallops sort of in the middle. Sauce was horrible. The yucca was so dry and rubbery you could not even chew. The scallops were fishy tasting and rubbery. I only ate 2 of the 4 and nothing else. Our server, Kirsten asked how our dinner was, told her about the scallops and she just gave us that oblivious smile, made no comment and walked away.\r On the way out, stopped by the bathroom. No toliet paper, except what was strewed across the floor along with paper towels, water on counters and floor. I haven't seen this kind of a mess in a bathroom since my college days going out to ""dives"".\r more
