Do not believe these one star reviews. It's sad when people go on these sites to sabatoge good local small businesses.
About myself, I was born, raised an grew up surfing in San Diego. I know the industry well and have several friends who are professional surfers, shapers and shop owners. My wife recently took a job in South Boston. Looking to get in the water here, I decided to check out Nor'Easter to get some local knowledge.
I am stoked to have found this place. It really felt like home. The shop is as legit as surfshops get. Honestly, the equipment selection is better than 90% of the shops I've been to in California and Hawaii.
The owner was super nice and throuroughly knowledgeable. The review calling him a kook is a complete joke. There is no way that is a honest review. He took his time with me talking about seasonal conditions, local swell and reccommended equipment. He knows his stuff...
Further, while I was there, three other people came in and he was as nice and respectful as can be. Perhaps the other reviewer caught him on an off day but based on my experience, it's hard for me to believe it's a legit review.
Bottom line is don't let these bs negative reviews sway you. Check it out for yourself. I definitely will be back.
