Many people dread the day when they have to visit the orthodontist. On your first visit to the office, you wait anxiously in the waiting room. You notice something different about the office waiting room. Instead of seeing a room with boring white walls, magazines older than you are, and a staff with no personality, you experience something quite different. The walls are a serene blue; a giant fish tank sits in the middle of the waiting room, the ?kid?s corner? has wall-mounted video games, and the staff treats you like you have known them your entire life. Welcome to the office of Dr. Martin! You instantly feel at ease, knowing this visit will be the first of many pleasant ones to come. Martin Orthodontics, which is where Dr. Cliff Martin specializes in orthodontic work, may intimidate those who are afraid of any kind of oral work; however, Dr. Martin provides quality, compassionate care. I highly recommend Martin Orthodontics to any parent who is deciding on orthodontic care.
I have been seeing Dr. Martin since I was fourteen years old. Now that I am eighteen and in college, I visit either to have a retainer check up or just to say ?Hi.? Every time I come into the office Dr. Martin and his staff always inquire about how my schooling is going, and they ask about my family. Both of my siblings have seen Dr. Martin. Carly Jo, my little sister, has just started her braces ?process? with Dr. Martin. Carly has Down syndrome and does not quite understand exactly what?s going on in her mouth or why she has to visit Dr. Martin. I am incredibly impressed with Dr. Martin and his staff?s patience and understanding of Carly Jo.
Although having a great personality and friendly demeanor is not everything, which Dr. Martin and his staff definitely have mastered, it goes hand-in-hand with the quality care that they provide. Dr. Martin and his staff always make a point to explain procedures to their patients and their guardians before they begin. It is reassuring to know what is going on in your mouth before they begin working on it. Before braces are even applied, Dr. Martin has a private meeting with the parents and patient to discuss the ?game plan.? I know, as a patient, talking about braces before actually getting them on was a relief because I had no idea what braces would be like. Dr. Martin thoroughly explains how to take care of your braces, so that you can be assured the prettiest smile possible. After you are freed from braces, Dr. Martin explains the work that goes into taking care of your teeth in the aftermath, which also entails your retainers that are fitted and made in the office. There is also a webpage filled with all the information you could possibly ask for about Martin Orthodontics, the staff, and need to know facts about mouth appliances and braces. As a patient, I am completely satisfied with the extensive knowledge that Dr. Martin and his staff provide throughout the braces years.
